Image Stabilizer lens groups is able to compensate for camera movement so that the picture appears still on the image plane, assuring clear, crisp images, even in low light situations. Built with Ring-type USM, inner focusing and new AutoF ocus algorithms, the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 achieves autofocus fast and silently. Manually adjusting the focus is not a problem even in AF mode due to full-time mechanical manual focusing.
