EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
An affordable L-series ultra-wide-angle zoom lens, the EF 17-40mm f/4L USM is ideal for both film and digital SLR cameras. Three Aspherical lens elements provide superior optics, along with a Super UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) glass element. Optical coatings are maximized for use with digital cameras. It focuses as close as 11 inches (0.28m), and affords both Canon's full-time manual focus and a powerful ring-type USM for quick and quiet autofocus. The EF 17-40mm f/4L has a constant f/4 max aperture, and gives the option of screw-in 77mm filters or a holder in the rear of the lens for up to three gel filters. This lens also has weather-resistant build similar to the other high-end Canon L-series lenses.
